Will it work: UK video tape in Oz video recorder?
My husband has got lots of UK video tapes (with stuff recorded from/through UK TV). Our video recorder "died" over the weekend.
Once we get to Oz, if we buy an Oz video recorder and an Oz TV will the UK tapes play back picture AND sound?

When I tried this the sound played fine but the picture was actually upside down. It was a bit annoying but I got around it by turning my TV upside down while watching my old tapes. Where there is a will there is a way.

And the other issue is buying a VHS recorder, it's nearly as difficult as buying a Betamax these days.
