in my unprofessional opinion it looks good - ie from the RBS statement in this article it does not appear to be a knee jerk reaction that will be reversed in a panic.
But (let sit firmly on that fence) it all depends on what other statements/results are going to be released in Oz or UK, and a trillion other factors - at least interest rates will not change in the next 9 days but speculation could.

What do i know?

You can't do anything about it, so hold tight til you get your hands on the dosh, then you can have the "do I/don't I exchange now" rollercoaster like Debsy had this week

house prices at last falling in Oz,according to the report referred to in another thread,as a result no change expected in Oz interest rates for the foreseable future.
Couple this with the widespread view that UK interest rates will reach 5% within the next 9 months, and the indication that interest rates may actually go up in the US and just perhaps the dollar will slip some more.
I am not qualified in this area ,thats for sure ,but the indicators could well be that the Oz bubble is about to burst and should interest rates be cut in Oz,well that would be interesting.
Its certainly cheered me up to think that my house sale falling through might have its own silver lining.
Ah well,onwards and upwards!!!!!!
