Hi all,

I believe our UK Sony LCD TV won't work in Australia - is that true and any ideas how to "fix" it? My OH was adamant it would be fine there as it's a new model, but the immigration book we bought says otherwise.

The PAL signals are different, england is Pal I and Oz is Pal B/G.

However if you are going to have Austar or Foxtel it will be ok, otherwise if you use freeview you will have no sound so get a set top box.

All of my TVs are panasonic and work with a STB.

There's are good chance it will work fine, my Samsung worked o.k. If not buy a digi box from about $50 and that will sort it
