Will my UK electrical goods work in Australia
Just wondering what electrical goods are worth shipping. In particular I'm thinking about...
Washing machine (relatively new)
Tumble dryer (relatively new)
Vacuum cleaner
Computer
I know the plugs/sockets are different.

Check in the manuals for each and see if you can select the country i.e. Australia for free to air channels.
My Panasonic plasma doesn't but I have Foxtel anyway so it doesn't matter.
Otherwise you can always buy a cheap set top box here and it will work fine.

If it european countries only, you can select somewhere (I think it might be Albania) and get most SD channels. Mind a freeview box is $40, including the HD ones.

Yep. Freeview boxes are cheap enough, so it's worth bringing them anyway.
