Default Will my BT HomeHub 2.0 work in Australia?

Does anybody know if my HomeHub v2.0 will work in Australia?

I remember from my previous time in Brisbane that one of the large costs of setting up broadband was purchasing a modem/router. This time I will bring one with me to save some expense.

Thanks

It comes ready to go straight onto the BT network with a BT username pre defined so it would have to be 'hacked' before it would work.

I'd suggest just buying another before you go.

We brought our router over with us and it worked fine (hubby in IT though). However, it's recently given up the ghost so we are just using the BigPond router that came with the broadband package............

From memory both the UK and Aus are Annex A so UK routers should work here. As Steen says you'd need to be able to change the username and password and possibly some other settings, which I'd expect would be do-able.

Routers aren't hugely expensive here though, the computer marts have them from around $60.
