will corby get her sentence reduced...
... it doesn't look like it:
Schapelle Corby's family and lawyers have dismissed rumours that Bali's High Court has decided to halve her 20-year prison sentence for drug smuggling. Bali-based lawyer Erwin Siregar, who is part of Corby's appeal effort, described the speculation as "bohong" - Indonesian for a lie.
In Bali, High Court officials in Denpasar were unavailable for comment.
In Sydney, Foreign Minister Alexander Downer said Australian officials had not been able to confirm the speculation.
But the waiting won’t go on much longer: the Bali High Court has until 28 August to make a decision.

Mind you, if you really mean it is sick then maybe - but not really any more sick than smuggling drugs. Anyway - I found it funny.

I dont know whether she is guilty or not, but what i find intensely irritating in all this fiasco, is the media attention given to it.
Had Schapelle not been a pretty young thing would the media have got so hyped over it? I doubt it.
If it had been a bloke or a plain Jane, i doubt much attention would have been paid to them. Same with this model who has just been arrested.
These things happen all the time to many other people yet not much media attention is given to them.

Oh and before anyone gets all upset, I do not know if Ms Corby is guilty and I do not know if David Hicks is, but it seems resonable to assume that there might be some evidence against both of them.

Maybe if they'd found her not guilty it would have been held up to the world as a shining example of true justice.
And who cares about blokes and ugly chicks with drugs in their bags. They deserve the death sentence.
I haven't been following all the shennanigans of her case too closely, so I can't say if shes guilty or not. I can say she is guilty of having a bag with 4Kg of marajauna in it.

She was guilty because a Court of Law in the country she entered and was arrested in found her guilty. Every person who enters a different country has to realise that they are subject to the laws of that country and also at the mercy of any corruption as well. Its maybe not "right" but we must accept its the way it is.
Amazingly there will be executions of people for drug related offences in many countries this year, such as Singapore and the like. People are stupid enough to try and smuggle drugs even in the face of such penalties.
For this woman maybe the media coverage did her no favours as the Court could not be seen to be bowing to another country and pressure. Maybe not. Either way I think she is extremely lucky to be alive.
