I love showing these threads to my two boys aged 5 and 3 but OH goes shooting here so eldest naturally asks which ones daddy can shoot!!!

Bix the photos are brill, i really enjoy it when you lucky people in oz share your wild life photos.
Tony you obviously enjoy wild life, you seem to have a lot of knowledge on the animals/birds of oz, which i think is great

That Kookaburra has a mean looking beak.What do they eat? Are they a sort of Woodpecker?Or fishers maybe?

We saw one on our validation trip using that beak to make very short work of a large grasshopper.....

they're rainbow lorikeets on magnetic island, and rock wallabies at simpson's gap in alice.
