Dear All,

Can anyone tell me if australian TV companies broadcast in wide screen format? As I want to bring my flat screen tellies with me but not if its just going to STRETCH the picture.

The 'free' channels 2,7,9 and 10 do a fair bit of widescreen broadcasting.

If you get a terrestrial digital set top box, most stuff is broadcast in widescreen and some stuff is in high definition too.
I bought a LG lcd recently with built-in high-def decoder (I'm impressed with it). There isn't much content on the free channels that shows up in 4:3.
