Re: Why Sydney????
ha h ah aha ha ha ha
ive just laughed so much at this thread now. it has just went mental  oh well at least its back on track. as for me came here because of work nearly a year i might, never know. the kids are very happy here. so we will see now someone asked about travelling from maroubra to cbd to be honest i couldnt tell you. i know it takes about 25 mins in the morning by car. but i work about 5 mins from home, so i dont ever need to do that run. but theres a few on here that could tell you. its hard to describe maroubra, but i will have a go. the beach is empty most of the time, so u dont get all the posers u get at coogee and bondi. its not really built up round the beach so its not the trendy place to be. thats why we are here. we go for a walk along the beach at night and dont bump into the numptys with shades on at night and a pink poodle tucked under their arm ;) maroubra has a lot of parks with loads of sports going on most nights and days. everything is about 15-20 mins away from us, as u might have read in another thread. to be honest i think u really need to live here to really know if u like it or not :o a drive though really isnt enough. |

Of the three places I've been to in Australia (the other two were Cairns and Brisbane) it was the only one where I could imagine myself living. The big city buzz without a lot of the crammed-ness and griminess of other big cities. I just fell in love with the place. Biggest job market too. > 2) how long have you been here? This time, two weeks. Previously, 2 weeks holiday. So yeah, honeymoon period. > 3) do you intend on moving north later? No plans to. Is it a common thing to do? I could see myself moving slightly further away from the centre of Sydney at some time but not too far. > > -- > Posted via http://britishexpats.com > -- Paul http://www.labrose.com |
