Why are flights so expensive ????
hi i am just trying to find some cheep flights for the family to come over to sydney. The flights seem double the amount they paid in april, whats that all about? Usually they fly with Etihad but they dont seem any cheeper. Is this still the backlash from the volcano? Surely not

Thanks for your fast replies, they will be coming over in october. They usually dont come over twice in a year but we are getting married so they are making a special trip.

April is the cheapest time to fly UK-OZ.
October is warming up in Oz, and therefore more people want to go, and prices rise.
For example, I've flown return in April and December/January, and they cost £650 and £1,180 respectively.

We recently (1 - 30 june) flew Aus to UK return with airasiax (who were absolutley fine) for $840 per person. without extras it would have been $780.
Check them out they are cheaper than the premium airlines.
