Why Employer Ref Letter to ACS for IT degree holders?
 

Hi all,

I am BSc Computer Science degree holder and i have 4+ years fo exp.

I dont want bonus points for jobs in demand but I need points for work exp. In that case is it enought if I submit the Certified Degree copies to ACS or do I need to submit the Employer Ref Letter also?

ie)
Why should Computer Science degree holders should submit the Employer Ref Letter to ACS?
Is it for
1)To get bonus points for jobs in demand
or
2)To get points for work exp
or
3)for both

That's one reason.

ACS does not award points for work experience. DIMIA does that.

Note that after October 1, 2002, you will have to prove at least 4 years of IT experience if you hold an equivalent Aussie bachelor's degree with major in IT. Also note that whether your degree is considered equivalent to an Aussie bachelor's degree depends on the Country Education Profile of the country where your university is located. (Generally Indian and Pakistani bachelor's degrees are considered on par with an Aussie diploma.)
