Why Australia and not Canada? Reasons?

In no particular order but heres why..

Its warmer, Nearer to the beach ( Has Canada got any beaches?)
booming economy, low unemployment, its not that close to the USA..

Because it is a very wealthy country with massive natural resources, high standard of living and quality of life, low unemployment. A peaceful country, with no violent internal political problems and relatively low crime rate compared to the USA. It has a great climate, which you could describe as a
mediterranean climate in most of the country, mild winters and warm summers which means you can spend most of the year outdoors except for a few very hot days in summer. In Canada and Northern Europe half the year cold and rain may prevent you enjoying the outdoors. Australia is a massive country with a small population which means it is not overcrowded, which also means land and houses are relatively cheap except for Sydney and parts of Melbourne. Australia as an ISland has thousands of miles of fantastic scenic, unspoilt coastline and beaches, some of the best in the world for swimming , surfing, fishing, boating etc, . Australia has a variety of landscapes and climates, For example you can travel from tropical Islands in Northern Queensland to snow covered mountains, ski fields in Victoria and southern NSW. You can go from the desert Outback to the Green countryside of Victoria or Tasmania.

Because the Brits dont get any Canadian soap operas that suggest a saccarinne sweet lifestyle free from common Western problems of the modern era.

Seriously though, most Brits emigrate to Oz because of the common language and the relative ease of entry compared to the US. Canada is out of the question for most Brits as they associate being abroad with hotter climes and that is Cananda's downfall.

Strangely, a lot of Poms have not even visited OZ before emigrating.

Once in the garden of utopia that is Oz, most poms crap their pants and realise what a mistake they have made. Hot humid days do not make up for bad employment such as long hours, no holiday/sick pay, no contract and poor wages. Add in the inbred hatred of many Aussies to Poms and it does not add up to the lifestyle they were flogged by the con artists at DIMIA.

Lets face it strip away the sunnier weather and what has OZ really got? Miles upon miles of bland suburbia, filled with even duller inhabitants.

Aussies don't hate Poms ,Obviously you don't know the difference between hatred and a friendly rivarly that exists between people and countries that have a similar culture, such as that between Canada and the USA and OZ and Uk or OZ and NZ . Just because you hate Aussies does'nt mean Aussies hate all Poms, except for you maybe.
