Why is Aussie radio so bad??
Why is it when I turn on the radio i feel as if i have been transported back in time by 15 to 25 years?
When i have eventually found a decent station they only seem to play 8-10 diffirent songs then back on the loop again. :scared:
Being a sales rep, doing a lot of driving and radio listening, is there any decent stations out there???
Help

My suggestion is that you listen to Radio one over the internet, maybe you could even record it onto cd and play it in your car...or an MP3 player??

Am agreeing with you muchly! There's only so much memory lane stuff one can take.
Another point - does ANYWHERE give listings for radio stations - where they are and what they have on?
I just find myself surfing between all the stations programmed in the stereo in the car on a song by song basis. Feel really sorry for you tho' if you're in the car loads.
Have you tried Triple J?

I wonder if Aussie cars have tape decks, maybe even CD players yet? Until then I guess you'll have to listen to the radio which I never do personally. I listen to my 10-15 year old tapes and CD's.

Triple M for me. New music policy means wide and varied choice. Sometimes a little to much 80's but I love the Sherbang and the Cage shows. Very funny. IMO much funnier than English radio

I think it was, non-stop. 6 weeks later switched on the radio on our trip to the airport....it was still going!!!! Is that what you miss?
We are spoiled in Melbourne, we have the R's.....they stream too. And you can podcast the J's & Radio National, truly spoiled we are

Brisbane you are, so why are you not listening to 612 ABC? Brilliant radio, get to learn all about QLD, keep up to date with latest issues, fun and serious discussions. Presenters have great personailities. I leave my music to weekends when I play my CDs because not so interested in radio sport.
I like to hear what is happening locally and around the world and 612 is like having a friend with you and you are in on the conversation.

I love conversations at 11.am, but sometimes can be a little boring. They now podcast these, so you can listen later on your MP3 player.
I live on the Gold Coast and this is how I learn about the rest of the state and the suburbs.
