Why Do We Do It!!!???
You sometimes feel that you are in your own little world! No one seems to understand what you are going through! You don't want to buy anything new because you don't want to take anything with you! Your family won't speak to you and sometimes disown you! Your agent seems to be completely void of any speed, urgency or sense of humour !! (with exception to anyone with a decent agent!) It takes 2 years to get as far as medicals & police check requests (it has for us anyway!) and you still wait :scared: You can't book cheap flights, yet! And you cannot organise a thing until you know that those visas are safely in your passports!
Its worse than water torture, teeth pulling, child birth, house selling, a Barry Manilow concert, watching West Ham in the 'play offs' - again!! Why do we do it??
Because at the end of it we know that we will be in the best place possible for us and our children! New friends! Excellent way of life! Gorgeous weather! Never have to see/or speak to the agent again! Never see the MIL again (unless of course you tell her your new address! ) And when we all, hopefully, eventually land on Aussie soil, that silly grin will hopefully will never leave our very smug faces!
We should hear we have our visas in a couple of weeks but good luck to all of those just starting out! Selling houses! Not speaking to MIL! Flights booked! Waiting patiently! Just remember it'll be worth it! Agreed???

Re: Why!!!???
Did you know MIL is an anogram of Woman Hitler, just a thought......
We leave in 3 weeks and get all sort of grief from the MIL, they've already booked themselves in for 3 weeks in Feb next year and expect us to take time off and do the sights with them, I can hardly contain my excitement

Wish I'd known that 25 years ago.

Hang in there guys. It will be worth it in the long run. We are early days yet and already our hearts and souls are over there
Good luck with it all.
