WHV granted
Hey everyone, just wanted to share some of my excitement at the fact that my WHV has today been approved. Come 30th December I'll be stepping off a plane onto Australian soil for the first time! Flights are all booked, various items are being shipped over on Monday, and my savings are coming on nicely so I'm pretty much there Just need to sort a job out now!
Staying with my girlfriends parents in Adelaide to start with until we sort a place of our own, then in the 2nd half of 2009 I'll be applying for a de facto relationship visa with her to enable me to live with her over there indefinitely. Once we have this, we're going off travelling, around Oz and NZ to start with and who knows where from there. God I can't wait!

Congratulations!
How long did it take for you WHV to be approved? We are going to Perth in January.
Thanks

Re: WHV granted
congrats, youmight want to consider a family sponsored visa to. I came over on a WHV and converted it to a family sponsored one, although it took a long time and I had to leave the country to pickup the new visa in new zealand. Worth looking into though
