I was just reading about the backpacker tax climb down (a pathetic tax idea anyway - Turnbull and Morrison are just tinkering around the edges instead of taking the necessary hard choices of cutting welfare and other spending and civil servant numbers) and see that the government is increasing the age limit from 30 to 35 - and reducing the application fee

News reporting age limit 35, taxation at 19% and superannuation cashout out %5. Can't find anything on official websites though

The Working Holiday changes are not really a tax climbdown because the government will be clawing it all back (and then some) via the superannuation tax that they will have to pay. Also, the tax threshold is quite high for WHV holders who will be making more than $37,000, which is, I imagine, almost everyone.

Also, the tax threshold is quite high for WHV holders who will be making more than $37,000, which is, I imagine, almost everyone.
