Who's on our banknotes and brief history of Aus?
Now, I've been wondering who's on our banknotes for a while... I recognise that old bird called Liz from the $5.00 bill, but who are the other gals and geysers on the other notes and what did they achieve?
I also was wondering if anyone is knowledgeable enough and can be bothered (to be frank) to give us a brief history of Aus and notable Australians, so us newly arrived Poms and wannabees aren't quite so ignorant
Thanks in advance

THERE was movement at the station, for the word had passed around
That the colt from old Regret had got away,
And had joined the wild bush horses — he was worth a thousand pound,
So all the cracks had gathered to the fray.
All the tried and noted riders from the stations near and far
Had mustered at the homestead overnight,
For the bushmen love hard riding where the wild bush horses are,
And the stock-horse snuffs the battle with delight.
