I'm 26 and my partner is 29 so we want somewhere that's suitable for a youngish couple but we're not really bothered by night clubs etc (Prefer to go out for a nice meal and to the cinema!). I will probably be working nearer to the centre of Adelaide for my kind of job (work in the charitable sector) but I don't mind commuting up to about 40 minutes but there has to be good transport links (tram/train/bus).

Places we're looking into at the moment are as follows so any input on the best and worst in your opinion (I know everyone differs!) would be fab:
Birkenhead, Exeter, Glanville, Largs North, Largs Bay, North Haven, Osborne, Outer Harbor, Peterhead, Port Adelaide, Semaphore, Semaphore Park, Taparoo, Tennyson, West Lakes and West Lakes Shore.

Thanks so much for all of your help - it's really appreciated as although we've travelled through ALOT of Australia we have actually never been to Adelaide so we're just trying to research it loads so as we can try and tailor our areas for the accommodation search.

Thank you!!!

Cafes, restaurants and beach all in the same sentence says Glenelg to me. There's a really good tram service into the city from there too. Or there's Brighton, pretty small place but lovely all the same. Try doing a search anywhere around as well as the places you have already earmarked. Get yourself a list of places to look at when you get here and go from your gut feelings about them.

I haven't spent much time in Port Adelaide, only really passing through on the way to Semaphore. It just looks dirty to me :o Although it is getting better as they do it up, so maybe now would be a good time to start off there?! :D

There's a caravan park at West Beach, it's not too far from the airport, so maybe take a look at staying there at first. Should be pretty central for you to take a look at all of those places. It's called Adelaide Shores Caravan Park.

Good luck
