Couldnt find the ones I wanted to post, but this one was taken after the rains we had back in June/July. Its taken towards the right hand side of our block, looking at our neighbours house - our driveway (with the white post & rail fence on the left of the pic) goes up to our front fence which is white & is pretty much in the middle of the block. There is a paddock the same size as the one you can see on the other side.

Hi biggy, i should rephrase that and say a compnay done it, but not without probs, long story but basically the site inspection wasnt done properly, we only just moved in when we organised the pool to go in and when they went to dig the hole they dug through all my cables, electric, mains water and telephone wires, had to have them all relocated, nightmare, the digger would not take the blame, he just digs and we had to pay an extra thousand dollars to get everything moved.......so for any 1 putting 1 in be warned and make sure you know where your cables lie.........worth it in the end though.......jan hutchy

We had a pool in our rental, but the boys very rarely used it, we therefore didnt bother when we moved into our own place..........however we have got a fab 8 seater spa, and a bloody great big water feature to paddle our feet in!!!

PS. ignore the stone work. Hubby is still working on that, should be totally finished in another 4 weeks or so.

How much does a pool cost to have installed? i kow it depends on size, but on average.

Depending on the size of the pool, anything from $10K-$70K, but an average 8x4 would be about $20K.

My friends and I BBQ alot and its good to have a pool so the kids have something to do whilst the adults are drinking lol.

we also have aircon so can cool down in the hot months.

I would def say make sure you have one or the other for summer as it will really be a life saver.

Do you find that, because it is still water, that you get a lot of mozzies etc around it, or that it encourages other things of that ilk. Which suburb of Perth are you? Are you near the Swan River? If you do, do you get bothered by mozzies there?
