Default Who's going for the 'big bird'???

Just wondered, for those here in OZ...Full on big bird crimble dinner or seafood etc buffet nibbly thing?

I did the big bird last year, sweated my t*ts off in the un air-conned house and vowed to never do it again.

Luckily we're of to a friends for crimble lunch this year (with air con). Turkey done outside on the webber and seafood etc etc

Whats everyone else planning foodie wise?

Mrs JTL is wanting a big goose for Xmas. Seriously apparently we've all been corrupted by america into thinking turkey is the big bird for xmas.

Personally I don't really feel like a goose for christmas, I'd rather just have a barbie... And then I'd give her a goose!

Family's vote is for the big bird but to make things easier I might just go for a big bird's boobie joint! Anyone recommend any that are "real" turkey and not compressed meat type ones? Got a frozen one last year & it was a bit smooth & wet if you know what I mean!

Last year , we stayed at home for the first time and had a Christmas Dinner at home - turkey - cooked the night before and had salad with it instead of the hot stuff - all went down very well! Not sure this year - will go to beach for BBQ breaky in the morning - then just chill?
