Thanks for your thoughts guys

On a more serious note, I think there is a need for something down south of the river, we have been supporting a family of 5 this week with tea and sympathy, only been here for 2 weeks, it's not my place to disclose whats happened to them, but they were so grateful for an open door, yes there are the afore mentioned businesses already, which they tried last year, but didn't have a good experience, this week they have stayed in a B&B the couple that own that told them, they have alot of expats who stay there having gone through the same experience and have ended up going home.
Forgot to add, we didn't mean on a grand scale like pomsinperth, we mean't to cover costs when having bbqs etc if we supplied the food.
So we will keep our thinking caps on!!

thanks again
Yve

no offense intended lindseyden but...

in defence of abergas, she says that it is merely a social club that she wasnt to get going, not to help people to cling on to familiarity!
...and...knowing abergas...I am sure that she wasnt touting at all...merely wanting some feedback on the idea !

and boy...it is a big thing when EVERYTHING is unfamiliar..
I thought I was prepared ..but you really do feel that you have landed on the moon so to speak at first..even though things are very similar......!!!!

ahaaaa yve..you beat me to it!!!

Hi Yve
Think its a good idea, some support and days out for people who want it is a good idea, and as yvsie said boy sometimes dont you need someone to turn to when the bottom of your world is falling apart. When ours did we had good friends to turn to and did meet ups like that and it cheered us all up no end. Good luck hope it goes well for you all down there. Keep us informed what you decide to do . Also sent you a PM.
