Oh, the weather is sooooo strange compared to last year!!

I reckon peeps who came out this year must have a totally different perspective on Perth compared to those who came out last year(as stupid as it sounds!)

I'm sitting here with long sleeves on

Oh, and btw, contrary to what I (and others) thought, it hasn't rained that much this year. It just seems like it, compared to last year.
So the dams are fuller, but it still isn't great....

Own up.
Well today and yesterday wasn't bad... well it would have been a nice day in July in the UK anyway. In my garden it got to 24 today... woooow! Had a barbie in Burswood park yesterday and got myself an unexpected bright red face. Didn't expect the weather to be so pleasant. Day after day it's been gloomy and occasionally raining. It's been sh*te forever, apart from 2 or 3 weeks in November.

My folks are over for 3 weeks starting on Saturday next week. The forcast on BoM is looking up for next Friday at least. No 30's in sight though. We can only hope hey! I'm expecting to get a real big smack in the face any time soon, with a big run of 40's!! It's gotta happen!

Got the fridge stocked up when it does.

Oh and yes Simone, it hasn't REALLY rained much. Recently I can count on one hand when it's rained. It's just been cool and cloudy. Nothing like June when I think it rained everyday. Just ask my father-in-law who visited us in June for 1 week! But hey, still enjoying Perth, off to City Beach tomorrow for breakfast with a few guys from work, so it WON'T rain hey?

About 6 degrees in Milton Keynes today. The body was o.k. as I had a long sleeve polo neck, cardigan, light jacket and thick coat on as I walked happily amongst 6,128,394 cheery shoppers barging in at the tills during this wonderful festive experience of commercially driven insanity.

Around 5,338,102 of them were from Blair's 'How to Create Bigotry and Inflame Racial Tension' migration policy - coughing their vile, spice-tinged breath over me.

Anyway, after 25 minutes queing for food in a 'fast' food resteraunt, and three attempts of expalining my children would like fruit bags instead of chips with their Happy Meals, to a typically warm and compassionate middle eastern gentlemen (like a prat, used English rather than sign language) I remember thinking how great it is to be alive in a country the size of a knats cock housing 57 million people, which sensibly encourages a rich diversity of cultures which creates a more fruitful society.

As for the feet, well I only donned a single pair of Marks & Spencers nylon socks unforunately. But you'll be glad to hear, the feeling came back in my left toes about an hour ago, and my right shortly after.

Sorry to hear about the torid struggles on this thread. Hope you get your 30 degrees in Perth very soon.

God bless.

"PERTH is in the grip of its coolest start to summer in more than 40 years."

"The December average for Perth is 29.1 degrees but so far the average has been just 22.6."

==
Been warmer here, our average high this month has been 24.3.
Was suppose to top out at 30 yesterday but hit 37 (40 according to the car thermometer). Sizzzle.

Yes, I can vouch for this. We arrived April 28, and it was 26 degrees around then! Forecast for next Saturday "Near 30C".
