OMG!!!! We accepted an offer on our house today
£40k below what it was valued at 16 months ago but the way the market is at the moment it was probably the best we were gonna get. OH out of work at the min so its just dead money staying here. Hopefully we'll beable to save a bit up b4 we move over
Just hope it all goes thru now.

I realy feel for you. I don't no whats worse people not turning up are the xxxx people who have no intention of buying.

I have never been as stressed and fed up.
Houses around us started to sell now they have stopped.

Good luck you will get a genuine buyer soon.

Thanks - let's hope so. I know what you mean about being stressed and fed up - it's like our life has been on hold for ever. Months sorting everything out just to apply for the visa, then the endless months waiting for an answer. Then, when you finally get the great news that you've been successful, the housing market and the pound crashes!! But there does seem to be some movement in the market, so let's hope it start of things moving again.

And CONGRATS Tawkins - I hope it all goes through smoothly.

Now that we have accepted an offer on our house the market will go mad & house prices will go thru the roof GUARANTEED! We always do things at the wrong time
We need to wait for the exchange rate to improve b4 we go anywhere yet!

Thanks everyone x

I think Eugene meant that if you could wait for 10 years then "property" will recover it's 2007 "value". Read www.housepricecrash.co.uk. (or globalhousepricecrash for the Ozzie news)
