Who can certify documents
 

could anyone tell me who can sign documents, there seems to be conflicting views on this. Thanks

Just call your local solicitors and theyll do it no problem for a small fee.
We used them for our documents ect,we later required our passports certified to open our migrant bank account and our solicitor did them too and didnt charge us that time. :)

If you have an agent, they can now certify documents for you.

Otherwise here is what DIMA say:

You should provide 'certified copies' of original documents. 'Certified copies' are copies authorised, or stamped as being true copies of originals, by a person or agency recognised by the law of the country in which you currently reside.

Go to your local magistrates court and get one of the JP's to do it. There is no cost as they are not allowed to charge for their service.

Our friend who is a police officer did ours for a small fee of some bottles of beer.

Passed TRA = rersult

our JP refusedto do ours probably cause he wouldn't make any money out of it, note to all those in Norwich who try.

But our local solicitors 5 mins walk down road will do it for £5 per document.

Don't be ripped off and look in the book for notaries as we did that originally and the guy charged £50 per document - at the time we only needed 3 so we were down £150 :scared: and to cut a long story short it was a waste of time as they now need to be done again. We could have had ALL our documents done for so much less.

Fiver per document that gonna cost a fortune, our would have been well over 500 quid stuff that a few bottles of beer was well worth it.

apparently it's gonna be under £150 in total. Bit difficult to offer someone a few bottles of beer when we don't know anyone.

There was a list knocking about somewhere of who can and who cnt sign the docs.

But £150 aint too bad really.

If you go directly to the courts and see the clerf of the court, during a session day, they will organise it for you.

Try another solicitors,thats a joke price,im sure i was under £40 for ours to be done,and like i said earlier,mine then certified our passports and new Visas for free.
