Whitetail found not guilty

For all those with fear of spiders, you'll be glad to know the white tail has been found innocent of causing ulcers:

White tail spiders and bites

About 20 years ago, it was thought that "White tail" spiders, common in most parts of Australia and in your home, were responsible for an ulcer that wouldn't heal for months, if bitten. This has recently been proven to be incorrect as a doctor researching spider bites has noticed the past few dozen patients bitten by white tail spiders haven't had these symptoms at all.
St. John's Ambulance and the Red Cross recommend with all spider bites, in particular the proven "nasties" . . . Red-backs and Funnel-webs . . . to whack a cold pack on the bite, such as a pack of frozen peas or ice block out of the freezer for about 20 mins.
Spider bites are protein based and the chill prevents the proteins kicking in . . . . but you've gotta be quick! Two minutes, and your hand will puff up like a balloon!
