I am yes.

You know me well enough by now to know I wouldn't joke about a serious matter like this. :)

I don't know if there are any houses at Pittong so would be looking at Linton, Skipton, Snake Valley surrounding area.

Depends on the bicycle journey for shopping. If it's too rough may have to live in Ballarat. ;)

You can't do that Leigh. :lecture:

I've already used "other" for Pittong. It can't be Vic and Qld :D

Have looked at surrounding area but didn't find much info on Pittong a few months ago.

"It's where the work is" :(

Guess I may need that suit of yours. :o

Can't we add a " back of beyond " category?:D

debsy Feb 15th 2004 5:31 am

Sorry Leigh. Guess I should have just put States instead. Still looks like most people are off to Perth.

has it been approved yet (the toxic waste site)? The state govt were assessing a number of locations a couple of months back - Ouyen is another possibility in Vic. They want to buy (compulsory purchase - i.e. if it's your land you can't say "no sorry, don't want to sell") a load of farm land to dig up and bury all the toxic waste from the city. Govt have said it's perfectly safe. The residents say if it's so safe why don't they bury it under Parliament House!! Fair point!

Might end up in the back of beyond!!!
We're hoping to go somewhere in NSW. Trouble is we won't know where until we land in Aus.
We're both hoping to get job offers from the Ambulance Service of New South Wales, but they could send us anywhere in the State.
Houses on the market!!
Not long now.

Hi debsy,

yeah, it certainly looks like almost a third are heading for Perth. Perth seems a bit alone for me, although i've not been. It's had a mixed bag of reviews on this forum, some love it, others think its the arse end of the planet. Where are you headed?, I know i should remember these things, but theres so many of you all that I do forget now and then.

It's interesting that Sydney and Melbourne don't seem to be the most popular destinations, especially with the aussie govt wanting to discourage migrants to those two places.

Anyhow, i'm quite happy to be in the " other " category!:D

What happened to all the ppl that were going to Adelaide:confused:
There were loads over the last few weeks.
Perhaps they been put off  :D :D
