Hopefully going to Perth, I have family there.
Haven't got a clue when it will be as we've only just got our application off!!

Good luck to everyone

Perth or Adelaide as soon as the visa comes in.
Really struggling to decide which one.
I'm waiting for someone/ something to convince me which one. Failing that I'll put it out of the hat.

Karenvirginia,
Who are you flying with to do your via USA flight. And what is the cost compared to the traditional route?

karenvirginia Mar 1st 2003 8:46 pm

tina,
only had one quote so far - £578.00 pp inc taxes
london to la - qantas
la to las vegas and return - united
la to sydney - qantas
sydney - brisbane - qantas

thats with tailormade travel tel 01386 712000

of course hotels extra, in la around £42 per room - circus circus

i will hawk the plan to a few more agents but thought this not bad at all. what do you think?

Sounds pretty cheap to me! We wanted to go via the States, possibly to West Coast as well. It splits the journey up a bit and it is like a second home to us,. All the quotes that I got were a lot more than this - mind you I assume yours is one way.
Circus Circus is a good choice, I stayed there a few years ago and Vegas was fantastic. It has changed a lot since then so I would like to go back.

Best of luck

Us and two kids..Perth bound by summer..we hope! Back from validating visa's so time to sell up..guess that's not predictable! Hope to meet up with some positive, friendly people from this forum...to share some barbies and great wine with.. It will be great to reach that point after the months of such negative, miserable comments on here!!

Its taken 2.5 years to get our application through but it will be worth it . We are heading for the Gold Coast, Coolangatta to be exact in April/May. :D

karenvirginia Mar 5th 2003 10:47 am

al and i also hope to be close to or in coolangatta, depending on where we find a place to rent and land to buy for building on. we have widened our search a bit but that is where we really love. what are your plans and what do you do if you don't mind me asking? we are coming out in september.
