Phuket is cheap, friendly, great food, great beaches and they love kids. Short hop from Bangkok or Singapore.

Hi
We're thinking of doing the same with similar aged kids. We're probably going to go the other way - Toronto (family there), Disneyland, Hawaii and do some island hopping in Fiji - and Auckland (family there). Sometimes we think we're a bit mad, when we should be spending that time trying to find jobs - but as we've got the chance....
Cheers

We had a great time in Singapore with our son jonah when he was 3 months old. The people/staff at the hotel/air hostesses were fantastic.......

Hi,
We have just been on a reccie to Perth and flew with Singapore Airlines, the service with them was first class. They really looked after our 4 year old daughter anything that we/she wanted was no trouble for them!
The same also applied to families with babies!

We plan to spend a couple of weeks in Bali with the 'olds' on the way over. Again, some very nice hotels that cater for and adore kiddies.

Hi,

We stopped over in Singapore 8 weeks ago with our 15 mth daughter and really couldn't recommend the place enough. It was clean, hygienic and the people were friendly. We spent most of our time in the Botanical Gardens (which are free) as our daughter started to walk whilst we were there. The shopping isn't ideal with little ones but there is also the Zoo plus the beach.

Singapore Airlines were the biz too and couldn't do enough for us. Would deffo fly with them again and stop over in Singapore.

We've been to India with our little one and have travelled extensively but wanted a hassle free time (& clean environment) and loved it.

Yup, were with the other singapore people. we stopped over with a 5 and 3 yr old. it was clean, friendly and great to walk round the markets.

You also get excellent room service when ordering a chicken club and 3am because the kids are still on uk tea time. i think the poor man bringing the sandwich and spaghetti bolgnaise for the kids thought we had all cracked up

We took a 16 week old to Aus stopping in Singapore - immaculately clean place - lovely people - would definitely recommend it.

Recommend Singapore - there is the zoo, Sentosa Island where you can take a cable car ride or a ferry, bird park, botanical gardens, etc. You can take a taxi starting at about S$2.40 for the first km and $0.10 for every subsequent 0.25km. For more information, you might be interested in this link:

Bon Voyage!

We considered stopping in Bali also as we have a lot of good mates there that we would love to see & introduce to our kids! the only thing is, all the quotes we have had so far are RIDICULOUS! We have had quotes ranging from £4000 to £9000 per adult just to add that extra fortnight on to Bali! Have you got any quotes yet????

That's silly - most airlines don't add anything on if you break the journey.

Well you know that & I know that but we can get a quote for less than £2000 to go with singapore airlines & stay in singapore for 6 nights, but if we then want to fly to bali, stay 2 wks in a 3 star hotel then fly back to singapore, and then fly to brisbane, then cheapest fare we have been quoted is £3500 EACH!

Book a cheapie fare to Bali from Singapore over the net, shouldn't cost you more than GBPhundred each return.
