Where to stay in Sydney once landed - Rent a Home
Hello,
We are moving over to Sydney at the end of April 05 and are currently looking at places to stay when we get there for the first two weeks or so.
What are peopls recommendations. We have looked at hotels, but have also found some information from the Rent a home and Mervac websites, some are requesting full payment up front which we are a bit dubious about and just wondered if anyone has stayed in something similar or can recommend anywhere?
I have done a search on the forum and can't really see anything relating to the above types of temporary accomodation.
All idea's great appreciated.

What is your budget? Try www.realestate.com.au - this site gives you loads of rental options but I guess most will be at least 3 months usually 6 or 12 months. There are a number of serviced apartments also throughout sydney where the rental is for short term only, say your 2 -3 weeks. Look up "serviced apartments sydney" on google - it will give you stacks of them. Quest is the name of one such serviced apartment mob - they have a big block called "Sur Mer" overlooking the beaches and waters at Cronulla right next to the shops, restaurants, cafes of that beach lifestyle. Know people who stayed there for a few weeks and they loved it but dont know the cost.
Last but not least look up "wotif" - www.wotif.com.au - this is a late booking discounted hotel motel apartment site showing all the late unbooked places they havent booked out so the rooms are at a discounted rate.
Good luck - Sydney is great and is up there with the Gold coast for expat poms.
