Default Where to stay - Quest Resort or Mandurah Holiday Village ?

Hi - All being well with our house sale we should be making our big move to Mandurah around October/November time. Although we've been to Queensland, we've never been to Perth and don't know anybody there. So when we arrive we need to spend the first couple of weeks in a holiday rental until be find an area we like and can rent a house. We are looking at Quest resort and Mandurah Holiday Village. Has anybody stayed at any of these ? We want something self contained and pretty central to Mandurah. We are not looking for cheap and cheerful because we want our first two weeks to be a nice experience. Any advice ? Thanks

Hi - thanks for your reply. Its just a bit scary that we will be arriving in a place we have never been to, with our 4 year old daughter and just a couple of suitcases. :scared: So we really wanted somewhere nice to stay and somewhere central. I guess you want to take out as much stress as possible for your first couple of weeks. Good luck to you also

Thanks guys, its easier for me, I have been there and lived near Mandurah before, and not taking youngster with me either just OH if that counts

If you are going to be looking for work in City or anything have you considered staying closer for the first couple of weeks somewhere like Freo or something, or were you looking for the nice area and peaceful to start with?

We will probably hostel in Freo for a few days or an apartment near the City as I will need to start work and then move down to Mandurah area after, but its only the two of us and cases to think of

Hi there ,we stayed at the Mandurah holiday village about 18 months ago when we went on our rekkie,we had a great time ,the beach was at the end of the road & we saw dolphins there ,our little apartment had a spa bath & we merrily sat in it drinking the local bubbly!!was a little walk into the centre but i dont remember it being to bad (could have been the bubbly),dont know about the quest resort ,but we were well looked after it had a pool & friendly staff.
Good luck
Rob & Matt
