Default where to stay in Perth???

Hiya all

Need some pearls of wisdom from you lot - we are off to Perth at the end of December to validate our visas. Have been searching the net to try to find somewhere to stay;

We want somewhere nice & quiet, with ocean views, a pool & will sleep 5. Any suggestiosn for web sites or have you stayed somehwere you can recommend. We were going to do a week in Perth, a couple of days on Rottnest Island (but they do a ballot system for this time of year & we have missed the ballot I think) and then to Margaret River for a few days.

PLEASE PLEASE Help me to get something booked!!!!!

Cheers

Try Observation city at Scarborough Beach. Not sure how quiet it will be as this is one of the main beaches that everyone flocks to. It is right on the ocean and has a pool. It is not cheap though. There are some hotels in Cottesloe Beach, but not sure of the names. There are probably some holiday accommodations at Hillarys too.

We rented a 3 bedroom villa right opposite Scarborough beach i think it worked out at about $600 per wk , 5 minute's from Hillary's harbour. "Well impressed!"

Can you remember the name of the place you sated at or who you ooked it with? What is scarboruogh beach like? How busy is it etc. Let me know if possible - we are starting to panic as we have nothing booked & it is the main summer holidays.

What is the work situation like in Perth? I am in the Air Con business - project engineer. When are you planning to go to Perth?

Cheers
