Where to start
 

Hello, brand new to forum so any help appreciated.

Husband is a carpenter which we think means he can apply on a 186 visa, his brother and family live in North of Sydney.

Any ideas how he may go about looking at a sponsored job?

I am actually a midwife (not practising at the moment) so we are considering if it may be easier for me to do a RTP and apply with me being the main visa holder.

If anyone has been in a similar situation or can advise it would be much appreciated.

Carpenter (and carpenter and joiner) is on the skills list for 189 visas which would mean that you would not need sponsorship with enough points.
