Default Where to spend the weekend??

Ok guys.......we will be spending 2wks in Perth as of next week (28th Nov)...it's a last min thing and we would like to spend our middle weekend somewhere with good bars and a bit of life (as we'll be spending most of our time looking for work, schools and area to live for when we eventually make the BIG MOVE next year!)
I'm thinking of booking 5 or 6 days NOR and same SOR with the middle wknd somewhere more lively?? Freemantle maybe?
Any advice welcome!
Lisa,xx....P.S. Any party invites welcome!! HAHA

Fremantle's great, we live about 20 minutes from there and regularly go there, usually every other weekend. Lots of bars and restaurants.

Good luck!

Fremantle is definitely the place that first comes to mind. If the weather's good (which is frankly a pretty good bet), get yourself a picnic and go to Kings Park on a Sunday afternoon too

But bear in mind that the whole Perth area really isn't that big. We're in North Beach and can get to Freo in half an hour easy.

Cheers

Thanks Guys.......we've decided to book a wk at Hilary's and a wk at Rockingham and to take it in turn to drive to the City or Freemantle!
What's the weather like at the mo? Should we bring coats or woolies? Is it pool weather?

Been a bit rainy over the last day or so, but temps still in the early 20s (21 right now, and sunny with occasional cloud). I wouldn't bother bringing a coat - the most we've needed are long-sleeve tops in the evenings. Pool weather? Depends if your pool is heated... but even if it isn't, it'll be fine after the first shock (or if the sun has warmed it during the day).

By the way, you can get into Perth & Freo on the train easily enough; don't need to drive it all the way (parking can be a bit tricky during work days).

Cheers
