where to rent in brisbane on arrival?

Red face where to rent in brisbane on arrival?

does anyone know of a good place to start looking at renting in brisbane,handy to schools and park nice area ?hopefully with the insight into buying eventually.any suggestions as brisbane is so big.And maybe inland a bit from the coast where properties will be cheaper.cheers

best bet is to work out how far you want to be from somewhere (the city, the bayside etc etc) and to pick suburubs from there.

www.ourbrisbane.com has a whole section on each of the different suburbs, including who mostly lives there (couples/familys/students/retirees/mix), the median rental and buying house prices, general suburb info, and even comments from people who live/lived there.


we narrowed it down to about 15 suburbs before we got here, then after driving round a few of them narrowed it down again to 5-6, going on what we saw and the houses that were avilable in our price range at the time.

Were heading to Brisbane in three weeks to do a validation trip, and we booked on line a holiday home on the west side only 20-30 mins from CBD, we did a little re-search and Expats have said it is a :beer family area with plenty of parks, schools etc I will post good,bad when we get back.

chhers for that. we have just started the process but i have read so much that there isnt rentals etc etc not sure where we want to be hubbie a drainer/builder,we have heard there is plenty of work.hope so?maybe you could e-mail me when you get back and let me know how thinhs went that would be great.We are looking to be not too near the cbd but handy to a nice school and parks for the kids,shops etc etc, You might be able to help on this when you look for a suburb how do you find out what areas they are in<eg south brisbane,north brisbane redlands ete etc any help would be great cheers gail
