Default where are the old buildings ?

Hi Guys, we are due to land in NSW in October. Fab, can't wait and all that... BUT I am a bit (yes, pathetic ) worried I will miss the oldness of the UK. I am no historian but I do like to run my hands over a nice rough surface now and then. Ahem, brickwork of course. I like viaducts, stone walls, old churches, Victorian buildings etc...
So my question is, where can I visit when I need a quick fix? Thanks in advance.

Hi, I was concerned about this too.

After being in adelaide for 21 days i can safely say that oldness has not been an issue as i thought it might be. There are loads of old buildings with loads of history and some of the houses we have looked at were built in the 1870s!!!

The city is full of lovely buildings and i only remarked to somone from adelaide the other day that it seemed steeped in history. i know it's not NSW but I'm sure that some of what i've seen will apply there too.

Worry not!!

Would have to say Melbourne would be the best place to find a large concentration of Victorian architecture. Some of the old building are wonderful!

Not on our street its all restored victorian cottages a nice mixture of single and double fronted.

The blossums were out this week and we should have a nice covering of green the end of the coming week.

You obviously have not enjoyed the rich architecture australia offers that is unique to Australia.

Such a shallow reply above shows these things are well beyond your intellect and broad knowledge of the finer things in life.

Good luck to your beach life.
