Where to Live South of SYD Airport
Hi
We will hopefully be moving to Sydney in the near future and I will be working in Botany near the airport, we are looking for a nice area to live in and looking for advice on areas, I have already done substantial searches of lots of towns.
Our (me the wife and 5 year old daughter) requirementrs are
20 minutes or less from the beach
Family area's (parks,walks, shopping,cycle tracks etc)
Good Schools
Not too built up (Coming from London so want to get away from too many people !)
No more than an hours drive to Botany
Probably looking for a 4-5 bed house modern ish
I assumed that we would have to live south of the airport to meet the criteria, that said I have no experience of the roads and Botany may well be accessable from north of Sydney just as easily.
As usual any tips/advice appreciated
Cheers

Re: Where to Live South of SYD Airport
Anywhere in the Sutherland Shire would meet all that.
Places like:
Sutherland
Jannali
Como
Oatley
Oyster Bay
Kirrawee
Gymea
Miranda
Sylvania Waters
Cronulla
A lot of those suburbs are surrounded by water, close to Cronulla beach, transport and national parks. They are also only about 20 – 40 min drive from the Airport (depending on traffic). They are all "family" areas too.
Good luck
PS: If you want to get an idea on how far places are you can go to http://www.whereis.com/ it lets you put in your departure and arrival point and will show you how long it takes in car, walking, peak and off peak.
