Post Where to live in Perth?

Been looking at areas in Perth to settle with 3 children. Has anyone got any comments on Edgwater and Woodvale in the Joondalup area. The schools look good for the kids! Any comments appreciated.

Hi Paula,

Can't help with Edgwater or Woodvale, but have friends in Mullaloo and they swear by it. Reasonably priced property, good schools etc.

Rgds.

hi paula, a really good site and one that has been invaluable for us has been: www.aussiemove.com it gives you suburb profiles, median house prices, school profiles and reports, holiday rentals, unfurnished rentals and house sales (if I remember correctly)... hope this is of help to you...

Have only heard positive about Woodvale and Edgewater. Both slightly older suburbs than those further north, quite pretty and have more trees due to being more established. Both just a stones throw from facilities in Joondalup and near the Mitchell Freeway. Some of the housing stock may need renovating due to being that bit older, depends on what you want. The blocks also tend to be larger than the newer burbs.

Everyone will automatically say that the suburb that they live in is the best.....natural really.
Get your self a furnished rental for a couple of weeks, then before you get into a long lease for unfurnished have a bloody good look around and see if you can find somewhere that 'feels good' to you!!!

Good luck

http://www.primerealty.com.au Joondalup area

http://www.realestate.com.au General entire Australia, but have lots of rentals around $150-$200 around Joondalup (Wanneroo, Edgewater, Ocean Reef, Beldon, Heathridge, Clarkson, Tapping etc)

I've got Realestate to email me a list each week. Very good.
