Hi mate we moved over in December and are living in a place called springfield lakes. Its about 45 mins from the gold coast and about the same to the city. The place is nearly new and the school is only a year old.We have 2 boys aged 3 and 7.Have a look on realestate.com.au and see what you think of the houses. Also try a google search on the area.

Hello and welcome
Congratulations on the TRA and good luck with the visa application.
There are so many places it is hard to make a recommendation, as the other poster said, have a look at www.realestate.com.au
Also have a look at
www.ourbrisbane.com.au
www.seek.com
Good luck

I'd also recommend Springfield Lakes. Lovely area although some of the house plots are very small. We're hoping to settle there when we eventually buy a house. We're heading over in July but staying with the mother in law until we can get a mortgage!
