Where to go, Perth or Brisbane

Where to go, Perth or Brisbane
Did a search on this but couldn't find any sort of comparison and am still undecided.
I know Perth probably works out a bit closer to the UK, but then it is sort of isolated. No offence intended.
So what does each city have to offer?
And if you're working in Perth CBD, which area would be good ie reasonalbe in terms of commute?
