where to go?

where to go?
I have started the ball rolling for a skilled independent Visa. My problem is just where to go. I am emigrating as a single parent and finding a friendly area where i am likely to meet people easily is essential. I need a vague idea of suberbs that are friendly, affordable and have good schools. I will be working as a nurse so easy reach to a hospital where i may find a job is essential. I had WA or victoria in mind but am open to any suggestions.

hi, if you go to the forum index there is a section on nurses, loads of info on questions asked all the time, its possible you can find people who have done the same route as you in nursing, well worth a look, hope this has helped.

and then theres on here, it takes forever to get through everything and after lurking for quite a while i still dont have all the answers...i find once i start on the net, i can pick and click for hours!! its endless..

Get yourself a bottle of plonk/pint guiness or what ever your fancy and work your way through this website...its informative and funny, if you find a thread with someone who seems to be going through what youve been through click on their avatar and see what threads/posts they have subscribed to...sometimes you can find a whole load of goodies that way!!

daft question but do you have the points or will you need state sponsorship to boost your points, this could have restricitons on where you go.

thats good, in that case do as the other poster said, plenty of research look at all the forums and go for it, good luck with it all, and dont forget to enjoy it.
