Overall Ipswich was disappointing, I expected more. It wasn't rough or not rough, just deserted. Reminded me of Farnborough centre. I did a U-turn as I passed the probation and correction centre and headed back to Indooroopilly - I wasn't in the mood for a green curry.
How very dare you.....Farnborough town centre is very metropolitan now!!

The Valley has a few places, all half decent, but I will second 2B Thai on Merthyr Rd, had a good Green Curry there.

Could anyone personally recommend a good authentic style Thai restaurant?
Are you looking for a British style Thai curry or a true Thai curry? I only ask because so many people ask for 'real' Indian when what they actually mean is a British style curry and would probably loathe a real Indian meal.

No, most certainly not British Thai style. That would be as bad as Australian style. Thai Thai style is what I like. Its hard to find in the UK but it can be done.

Regarding Indian curry, I do enjoy British Indian curries, and unfortunately the curries here in Oz are also shockingly poor. No excuses, just poor - below the standard of a tescos instant curry. I've upset a few people by saying that a good curry needs loads of spice, garlic, ginger and most importantly oil.

I haven't tried their green curry, but Siam Sensations in Nundah serves damn good food.

not much help but if you're ever in sydney head for thai town. A lot of the restaurants have genuine Thai food, you can tell by how many Thai people are eating there.

Hello again. I have just tried green chicken curry at 2B Thai, and unfortunately I wasn't impressed. It was far too sweet for me - the usual problem with Thai restaurants in Oz, I find. Guess I'll have to keep looking...

This ready meal is better than any Thai I've had in a restaurant so far. : https://www.sunrice.com.au/consumer/...-jasmine-rice/

One of the best TGC's that I've had in recent years was on Air Asia X on the way to KL

Superb and it only cost about $6

So nice I had 2
