Re: Where does everyone in Sydney live ?
Coogee.
5 minutes walk to the beach. 5 minutes walk to more cafes and restaurants than you could ever need. 5 minutes drive to Hospital and University. 10 minutes drive to the best shopping in Sydney at Bondi Junction. 20 minutes drive to the city. Cool in summer, warm in winter. Safe swimming and lovely beach. Minimal wildlife. Coastal walks all the way to Watson's Bay. Easy access to the country to the south and west. Perfect, really :) |

We have been in Warriewood for 6 months - CBD is accessible when you want a fix of hustle and bustle, otherwise we are in a little pocket of countryside within the city! Fantastic beaches on our doorstep - couldn't wish for a better location to bring the family up!

most seem to be heading for the north at the mo.
but as nickyc said they are missing out on perfection ;) |
Re: Where does everyone in Sydney live ?
I live in Harbord on the northern beaches. Lovely area, 5 mins from the beach. Lots of expats around - funny listening to the different accents on the bus in a morning...

We have moved to Mona Vale on the Northern Beaches and I love it, so nice to walk along the beach. Yesterday we discovered the joys of the Mona Vale Hotel beer garden, its very nice. They had an air guitar comp on. YOU HAVE NEVER SEEN ANYTHING LIKE IT. Hilarious.

Re: Where does everyone in Sydney live ?
We've lived in Bondi, Kirribilli, Queenscliff and now Avalon.
They're all great suburbs for different reasons, in a few words... Bondi - lots happening, fun and young Kirribilli - inner city with village feel, close to everything, harbour views Queenscliff - access to Manly and all that provides without being right in it Avalon - peaceful, relaxed, great beaches without the crowds Depends what you want... |

Cherrybrook
...quiet, rural suburbia - far enough from the CBD (sometimes a little too far to be honest) but lovely to come to at the end of a working day. Leafy, with good schools, shops and amenities. |

Re: Where does everyone in Sydney live ?
We're currently in Balmain East which is nice but a bit inner city for us and the transport isn't great. We've just exchanged contracts on a house in Bonnet Bay today (half hour train ride to the CBD).
