Margaret River (Wine & Big Big surf. Going back to see Humpbacks) Coral Bay (For the whale sharks) Monkey Mia (For the Dolphins) Exmouth (Ningaloo reef - Just my opinion - found it far better than Great Barrier reef) Broome (Nice and tropical and had great fun riding the camels on cable beach) kalgoorlie (To see the Gold mines) Next up Albany or Esperance. |

Re: Where do Western Australians go for their holidays
This was one my main concerns about coming over to WA (and still is to be honest).
In the UK it was so easy to jump on a plane/ferry/train and get to Europe fairly cheaply. You had a huge choice of country and culture on the doorstep. In WA you lose that totally. No more cheapy flights to go abroad here. The best bet being Bali and you're looking at hundreds of dollars for that. |

Wherever you are in Australia you don't have a huge choice of country and culture full stop. Granted in Eastern states you can visit other cities in Oz but this is no comparison to jetting off to different places in Europe. |

But the fact is its much cheaper. We have got tickets to NZ for a hundred bucks. They had figi for $179.
Its also cheaper to fly to anywhere east from the east (does that make sense) It costs a lot to leave W/A thats for sure- cos its a long way away...;) |

Re: Where do Western Australians go for their holidays
They go to a hole called Margaret River (they think it’s the best thing since sliced bread – sliced bread being relatively new in WA), but the rare few that dare to venture further usually just go to Bali, the people who go anywhere else and see what’s really out there, don’t usually return to Perth!
