Default Where do we get our Meds done?

Are now in the final stages of Visa application, and just need to get Meds done. Has anyone had theirs done in the South East that they would recommend? I know there is a list of approved Doctors, but we'd rather go somewhere recommened!

Well get ready for a laugh. You will get a list of recognised doctors for around the country, we phoned loads so we could get in earlier. (can be a bit of a waiting list) We went to one by Heathrow, they check out the pilots etc. We are a family of 4 and last year I had a major operation so we were abit scared that I would fail, plus hubby & 1 child has asthma. Anyway we went in and paid our 400 quid for the doctor to make sure we had heartbeats, we could read a passage of english language, checked our blood pressure and our eyes, that was it. If I hadn't taken a letter for my specialist and told the dr about the op he would never have known. Hubby & I had to give blood tests and as I told him I was hard to get blood out of he even took 2 tests from my hubby (standard HIV tests). We were in there for 12 minutes. Its a joke to think that this is how they check the pilots are healthy to fly hundreds of people across the globe. Well good luck and don't be daunted!!
