What sort of building?

There's still quite a few skyscrapers going up in the CBD, although they're looking half built now, not sure what's next but lots proposed

There's lots of mines going up and the gas plants, but they're specialist and are 1500km away

As for housing, no idea

Be aware that plastering in Australia is a completely different trade than in the UK, although some one who is experienced in the UK should be able to learn the trade here fairly easily.

This may be the case in Perth where houses are I understand mainly built in double brick. In the rest of Oz where houses are built on a timber frame, the plaster hangers ( a seperate trade to plasterers) will hang all the sheets throughout the whole house, then the plasterer comes along and fills in all the joins between the sheets, screw holes, does the cornicing etc.
