Brown Recluse by the looks of it (and the damage) One for the Yanks to worry about and (for once) not the Aussies. :)

that should have carried a warning not to enlarge the last picture! wonder what the time scale was from bite to that. horrific. sure they're not in oz?

Yup.
It is a Brown Recluse.
And they're not found in Australia. (Found in southern US states).

This series of pic's has been floating around the internet for a few years.

reminds me of one of the urban conspiracies that has Hollywood collaborating with the US government so that when they finally do discover extraterrestrial life, no one will believe its not the latest speilberg/cruise movie!!!

I've seen some pictures worse than them of a man that was bitten bitten on the thigh whilst in bed! :scared: ....these brown recluse spiders have venom that actually destroys human flesh! Once bitten, the infected flesh has to be removed as soon as possible to prevent the venom spreading! .....such a horrible little spider! :eek: ....so damn glad it's not an Aussie!!!

The worst thing is, it looks like a common UK house spider!!! :scared:
