We've got the visa paper in the passport and fly out 21 June. :D
But, when we get off the plane and head for passport control, how to we validate the visa?? Do we need to say something to someone at passport control? Flying into Melbourne - anyone any idea? :o

Just go through immigration as normal.

Did you "go it alone" with the visa or did you have an agent? I only ask because this should be answered by your agent.

I can't see that "bothering" an agent with this question is really justifiable.

Its the anticlimax to a long and expensive process. You get nothing, no brass band, not a sausage. Very disappointing.

You could try unfurling the Union Jack and ramming the flag pole thru the immigration officers desk before declaring this land for the Queen.

That might get a reaction.

But possibly not the one you want, now if you were to do it with the Australian flag - that would be a different outcome - or not :D

It would be nice to get at least a "Welcome to Australia, enjoy your new life" at least, don't these guys know what people go through to get here :confused:
