when to send passports.........
Hi guys, when are passports requested? we have applied under skilled independant, just wondered what you all did.

Hi,
You send in your passports when you have been granted your PR visa, and not before.

But Smetimes they request you to give passport before finalising on PR ( But Giving the date of first landing).

I can remember asking how long after sending the passports would we get them back, it only took 10 days and what a feeling when they arrive.

Yes got granted 16 May so am planning on leaving July / August. All the gang can't wait, Partner and 3 young kids, (what a life for the kids !)..... and us also.
Yes we've been before .... spent the last 2 christmas's there, what a culture shock that was, spurred us on to apply.

Hi, yes we've been before, we did 1 year backpacking in 1997, fell in love with Perth, fab way of life, v.relaxed and people friendly and laid back. Great news for you, congrats, you all must be so excited

Hey Guys we also got our PR effective 26th May.
We have to be there before August.
Will be going to Melbourne for the first time (Infact to Australia for the first time.)
Can anybody help me regarding employment and Housing.
