we are on the same visa, im guessing the Commonwealth bank will advise whoevers name its in as its only down as a 2 yr term deposit acct, so i would imagine (im guessing here) that they would write and say, come git yer money (well i hope its that easy !!!)

Good me too - so was it 2 years after lodgement or 2 years after date entered Oz??

To be honest, I can't remember. I was just happy to have the money back and it was only a month between lodgment and entry.

i would think it would be two years from when the account was opened, as its just a normal term deposit.

Its 2 years from the date you enter the country - for us this will mean almost 3 years from when the money was lodged. Probably not what you wanted to hear - sorry!
