Hi anyone know when the DIMMA close for xmas as I am thinking of sending in the relevant info and I don't want it sat on a table gathering dust.

Well ask a silly question ....

If you're applying now, then on current timelines your visa should be processed and granted by Christmas anyway. But what's the alternative? You don't apply until Jan 4th so you miss the Christmas shutdown?

Ok, I will put this into English which most people understand! I spoke to a migration agent and he said that the Australians had an extended holiday around Christmas. Sort of middle of December to January becaue this is the hottest time. So I was wondering when this holiday started never mind will ask someone who knows.

ARGHHHH!!!! I've only just woken up and my brain hasn't yet worked out what day it is! Now you've scrambled it totally as the first post I read is talking about CHRISTMAS!!! I shall spend all day completely confused and thinking its December!

(ps Oz govt depts are usually shut from 5pm Christmas Eve until Jan 2nd.)

I asked an agent and he said they close for extended period thanks for the answer I appreciate it.
Will go as planned then. I have to look to the future and plan what I am going to do and when. I have only asked because my sister is moving shortly.
